Class descriptions, locations and cost:
In person classes:
Mysore - style classes: Mon 5.30 - 6.50pm, Wed 6.30 - 8am & Sat 7 - 8.30am. Students practice independently in a Mysore class with the teacher guiding them and giving adjustments as necessary. Initially, beginning students can expect their practice to be 20 - 30min long, this slowly builds over time. For a more detailed description of Mysore classes please see here.
Traditional counted half Primary series class will replace the Saturday Mysore class on the 4th Saturday of each month 7 - 8.30am. Some Ashtanga experience is necessary to join this class. Dates: 28th February, 28th March, 25th April, 23rd May, 27th June.
*In term 2 & 3 the Ashtanga Yoga open level class, 7 - 8am, will replace the Wednesday Mysore class : This is a one hour class focusing on the foundations of Ashtanga yoga. We will work with our breath and postures in the vinyasa format to quieten the mind and strengthen the nervous system and physical body. This is a dynamic, warming class incorporating Sun salutations, standing and sitting postures and finally resting.

Cost for in-person classes: 10 class pass - $210 valid for all classes (strictly 3 month validity from date of purchase) or $22 per class casual rate.
All in person classes are held at West End Hall, corner Woodman and View St. Castlemaine.

Beginners:
Students new to Ashtanga yoga are encouraged to come along to Mysore classes. For there to be benefit a commitment to 2 classes a week is ideal and an understanding that you will be taught the practice in a steady manner with emphasis on creating a sustainable ongoing yoga practice. Please expect to be in class for about 30min initially. Your practice will slowly lengthen over time.

What to bring to class:
Your own mat (please note there is no storage at Glow Dance.)
small towel
spray bottle (if you need for Garbha Pindasana).
Blanket and eye pillow for resting.
Due to COVID precautions we are unable to share equipment.
