Class information:

Karyn teaches regular weekly classes in Castlemaine including Beginner’s courses, as well as monthly Sunday classes for Melbourne students and online early morning Friday Led classes. Please see below for details.

Castlemaine Ashtanga Yoga classes:

2024 Timetable - Term 2:

Monday evenings: 5.30 - 6.45pm (Mysore)

Wednesday mornings: 6.30am - 8am (Mysore)

Saturday mornings: 7am - 8.30am (Mysore)

*Friday led class online: 6.30am - 8am Term 2 starts 19th April, see below for details.

Cost (in person classes): $20 per class. 10 class pass $195. Cash or direct deposit, see below for details.

Location: Castlemaine classes are held at West End Hall, cnr View Street and Woodman Street.

Melbourne classes:

Karyn returns to Melbourne to teach a Mysore class once a month followed by a short talk on yoga, 8-10am at Glow Dance. Please arrive by 8am.

Upcoming Melbourne classes: Sunday 28th April & 26th May. These classes are a great opportunity to stay connected whilst deepening your practice.

Location: Melbourne classes are held at Glow Dance 8/252 St Georges Road enter off, Fergie St, Fitzroy North.

Next Intro course begins 7th March!

Students new to Ashtanga yoga are encouraged to come along to Mysore classes. For there to be benefit a commitment to 2 classes a week is ideal and an understanding that you will be taught the practice in a steady manner with emphasis on creating a sustainable ongoing yoga practice. Please expect to be in class for about 30min initially. Your practice will slowly lengthen over time.

What to bring to class:

  • Your own mat (please note there is no storage at Glow Dance.)

  • small towel

  • spray bottle (if you need for Garbha Pindasana).

  • Blanket and eye pillow for resting.
